Application Summary The intention behind bolt fastening applications is to monitor the tension force applied to the fastener, stud or bolt. How it Works 1. FUTEK’s LTH Series offers several miniature load cells appropriate for this form of tension measurement testing. 2. In this application, the LTH300 Load Cell is fixed between two washers, allowing the bolt to run through the center of the Thru-Hole and flat plate. 3. As the operator begins to fasten the bolt, the LTH300 will measure the force applied. 4. This data can be monitored throughout testing via FUTEK’s IPM650 Digital Display or IHH500 Handheld Display; or it can be streamed to a computer via FUTEK’s USB Technology. 5. Operators and engineers can then review this data to verify whether or not they have reached the desired tension on the fastener, stud or bolt.
