Float Switches

          
We feature
          ATMI’s TUBA small diameter float switches & the SOBA
          EX ATEX certified float switch.

          




          The TUBA float level switches are small diameter tubular floats
          that have been designed to fit tanks and cisterns having restricted
          access or narrow openings. As the liquid level reaches the float,
          the mechanical switch inside will tilt, thus closing or opening
          a circuit connected to an electrical panel. Thanks to its ±
          20º switching angle, the TUBA float level switch ensures
          a very precise level measurement.

          
The TUBA float
          level switches can be installed in three different ways: fixed
          to a rod, vertically suspended on the cable with external ballasts,
          or horizontally mounted on the tank sides with a gland. Suitable
          for level detection of liquids in tanks, cisterns, reservoirs
          and others, such as pump automatic regulation and alarm level
          detection, TUBA is available in 1” and 1¼” diameters,
          allowing it to pass through the narrow openings usually found
          on the side walls of tanks.

          




          The SOBA EX is an ATEX certified float switch ideal for hazardous
          environments 0, 1, 2 (gas) and 20, 21, 22 (dust). As the liquid
          level reaches the float, the mechanical switch inside the float
          will tilt, thus closing or opening a circuit connected to an
          electrical panel. The SOBA EX is equipped with an external adjustable
          resin ballast, and its ±25º differential angle ensures
          a precise level measurement.

          
SOBA EX has double
          waterproofing thanks to its high resistance housing. No maintenance
          is needed, thanks to its biconical shape that avoids clogging.
          Easy to install and easy to use, SOBA EX is an ecological float
          switch containing no mercury and no lead.

          
Applications
          include hazardous gas areas : solvents, hydrocarbons, alcohols,
          chemical and pharmaceutical products
